Service Desk Engineer – Leeds

Salary: £30K – £40k + Benefits (see below)

The Service Desk Engineer role

Responsible for providing first class IT service desk support to our customers, as well as assisting and leading a variety of internal and client projects.

Key responsibilities (included but not limited to):

  • Providing technical support to a variety of clients

  • Answering support queries via telephone, email and our helpdesk

  • Escalating and communicating issues to other members of the team as appropriate

  • Identifying and troubleshooting hardware & software issues both remotely and in person

  • Working pro-actively with the technical team to effectively manage multiple open cases; responding within agreed timescales and managing responses effectively.

  • Installing and configuring computer hardware, deploying operating systems and applications using automation and ensuring internal documentation is maintained.

  • Assisting customers remotely and in-person


Experience of our Service Desk Engineer

  • Service Desk: 3 Years (preferred)

  • IT Support: 3 Years (preferred)


Skills required of our Service Desk Engineer

  • Experience administering and configuring Microsoft 365 platform including Azure Active Directory, Exchange Online, Dynamic Group Creation, Microsoft Teams administration, SharePoint and OneDrive

  • Experience deploying and administering Windows Server 2012 or later

  • Understanding of Active Directory security groups and use of Organisational units

  • Working knowledge of VMWare and Hyper-V virtualisation platforms

  • Experience with Android, iOS, MacOS and Windows (7 and later)
