The Service Desk Engineer role
Responsible for providing first class IT service desk support to our customers, as well as assisting and leading a variety of internal and client projects.
Key responsibilities (included but not limited to):
Providing technical support to a variety of clients
Answering support queries via telephone, email and our helpdesk
Escalating and communicating issues to other members of the team as appropriate
Identifying and troubleshooting hardware & software issues both remotely and in person
Working pro-actively with the technical team to effectively manage multiple open cases; responding within agreed timescales and managing responses effectively.
Installing and configuring computer hardware, deploying operating systems and applications using automation and ensuring internal documentation is maintained.
Assisting customers remotely and in-person
Experience of our Service Desk Engineer
Service Desk: 3 Years (preferred)
IT Support: 3 Years (preferred)
Skills required of our Service Desk Engineer
Experience administering and configuring Microsoft 365 platform including Azure Active Directory, Exchange Online, Dynamic Group Creation, Microsoft Teams administration, SharePoint and OneDrive
Experience deploying and administering Windows Server 2012 or later
Understanding of Active Directory security groups and use of Organisational units
Working knowledge of VMWare and Hyper-V virtualisation platforms
Experience with Android, iOS, MacOS and Windows (7 and later)
