Yard Operative – Egham or Leeds
In your role as Yard Operative you will join our team at either our Egham or Leeds depot.
These are the duties that this Yard Operative role will include:
- To pick and prepare equipment
- To load and unload delivery vehicles using mechanical aid or by hand
- To sort, service and maintain stock levels
- To ensure materials are disposed of correctly in line with the company procedures
- The job holder will work in a safe and responsible manner. They will wear and use the correct personal protective equipment where and when laid down by the company and will follow company health and safety and environmental procedures and reporting guidelines
- The job holder will be expected to help with other work within the Department as and when required

- Are available to work in a busy logistics environment
- Are capable of lifting heavy materials for a prolonged period of time
- Have an enthusiasm for the task in hand and a willingness to work under pressure in order to meet deadlines
- Have a counterbalance and/or telescopic forklift licence
- Are able to communicate at all levels
- Have the ability to work as part of a team to enhance our service to our customers
- Have the ability to read and pick numerous items from picklists
- Are willing to work outside of normal hours in order to meet the business requirements if required
